Soon after the release of “Nightlights”, Miss Yellow was invited as the special guest DJ at the Cathay Pacific TV parade for the Chinese New Year, where she performed in front of the Tourism Board and the audience. The show was aired live on Hong Kong’s TVB. Following the performance, the artiste was contacted by Radio broadcaster RTHK that manifested the intention of filming a documentary about her life. The documentary covered not only her journey to becoming Hong Kong’s number one DJ but also aspects of her personal life. Aired in Hong Kong and Malaysia, the documentary was very well received by the audience and it was viewed more than 240K times on YouTube.
While regularly performing for events of the most renowned international brands, Miss Yellow has also been active releasing other songs and remixes. Her latest song “Satellites” is included on the first Billboard compilation “Electric Asia” that features the best Electronic music artists in the continent. In this song Miss Yellow mixes all her influences, from electronic music to Cantopop and hip-hop.
Her DJ skills have also come under the radar of “The Rap of China” that called her to perform with rappers Wilber Pan, MC Hotdog and PG One in front of a crowd of 10,000 at the Shenzhen Bay Sports Center.
Miss Yellow has also performed in festivals, like in Sonar (HK) and Clockenflap festival, where her sets have set the crowd on fire and have been praised by music critics on local and international media.
Her DJ set is a suggestive live performance where several elements combine together: visuals, electronic rhythms, lyrics, outfits. All these elements blend together into a unique concept that perfectly reflects Hong Kong’s rich and eccentric underground culture.
